WVU and Marshall recruit first two eminent scholars
Gov. Joe Manchin today announced that West Virginia University (WVU) and Marshall University have landed world-class cancer and gene repair researchers as their first hires through the state’s Eminent Scholars Recruitment and Enhancement initiative.

Governor appoints F. Jane Hustead to fill Cabell County Circuit judge seat
Gov. Joe Manchin today appointed F. Jane Hustead of Huntington to serve as Circuit Judge of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Cabell County. Hustead fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Chief Judge Alfred E. Ferguson.

Governor, First Lady recognize top science teacher
Gov. Joe Manchin and First Lady Gayle Manchin today officially recognized Mount View High School science teacher Edward Evans for being named the Discovery Education and 3M “America’s Top Science Teacher” earlier this month.
